Takia Smith, LEP #4874
FOUNDER OF COMPREHENSIVE CONNECTIONS
California Licensed Educational Psychologist
Takia Smith is a California Licensed Educational Psychologist and the founder of Comprehensive Connections. Takia brings more than 18 years of combined professional experience across education, behavioral health, and mental health services. She worked as a School Psychologist and Educationally Related Mental Health Provider for the past eight years, providing comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, consultation, counseling, and behavioral support services across a wide range of educational settings. Prior to becoming a school psychologist, she spent 10 years as a Behavior Intervention Supervisor in applied behavior Analysis; developing and overseeing behavior intervention programs, coaching multidisciplinary teams, and implementing evidence-based behavioral supports for students with diverse learning, social and behavioral needs.
Takia also has professional experience in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy, providing her with a strong foundation in counseling, family systems, and social-emotional development. This unique combination of educational, behavioral, and clinical experience allows her to understand the complex relationship between learning, mental health, behavior, and family dynamics.
She holds both a master's degree in Education with an emphasis in School Psychology and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, bringing advanced training in educational assessment, counseling, consultation, and psychological services.
Throughout her career, Takia has worked extensively across Los Angeles County, working with public school districts, charter schools, mental health, and behavioral agencies. She has served students from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds while collaborating closely with educators, administrators, families, and community providers.
